Marijuana has become a hot topic over the last few years as more and more places are starting to legalize it. Prior to contrary belief though, weed is not legal in all of the United States. In fact, when you look at this map, it’s illegal in almost half the country still.
In Canada, marijuana will become legalized on October 17, 2018. Canada is the second country in the world to fully legalize the drug and while there is much use around the globe still, most of it is not legal.
So how does this affect seniors?
For some, there will be no difference, but for others, it might be life-changing.
We want to hear from you on this topic. What does legalizing marijuana mean to you? Will it make a difference in your life or will it not have any impact at all? Will it be a financial boon to you, or could it make you lose everything? We’ll be talking about this issue at great length and take a look at both sides in our regular column “medial Mondays”.
Marijuana will not be going away anytime, but the more we understand it, the better we can talk about it.
On a side note, we love the video before, but we hate the word use of “grandma” for seniors. Can we get a few changes in regards to that as well?
